Jannik published a Comparative Study of the Mechanical Reinforcement by Blending, Filling, and Block Copolymerization in Bottlebrush Polymer Electrolytes in ACS Appl. Polym. Mater. Both Filling and block copolymerization improves the reinforcement, but block copolymer approach has some additional advantages. https://doi.org/10.1021/acsapm.4c00161
A joint research work of Jannik Petry with Suhrit Ghosh, IACS, Kolkatta is published in European Polymer Journal. It deals with the feasibility study of novel polymer architectures as SPEs in all solid state Lithium metal batteries. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.eurpolymj.2024.112965
Joint research work with Chris McNeil (Monash University) on structure property relationship of a series of P(DPP-TPD) copolymers containing two different acceptor moieties published in Adv. Funct. mater. https://doi.org/10.1002/adfm.202314696. This is part of a joint PhD of Andreas Erhardt between Bayreuth and Monash.
Congratulations to Andreas and Adrian for publishing their research work on highly efficient n-type OECTs involving acceptor-acceptor linkage strategy in Adv. Electron. Mater. 2023, 2300026; DOI: 10.1002/aelm.202300026. Two different acceptor moieties were so selected that there is negligible torsional angle between them leading to high planarity and excellent mixed ion-electron conduction properties.
Welcome to Applied Functional Polymers group at University of Bayreuth!
We are an interdisciplinary group covering fields of Chemistry, Physics and Material Science.
Our objectives are
- to design and develop novel tailor made functional molecules, polymers and block copolymers,
- to combine organics with other functional inorganics to get hybrid systems and
- to contribute conceptually to solar energy conversion and storage.
Our tools include diverse thin film preparation techniques, self-assembly and device preparation and characterization in addition to elaborate synthetic methods.
